Sunbelt Rentals is not a publicly traded company, at last in the United States. Their parent company is  the Ashtead Group, a UK-based company. In recent times, Sunbelt Rentals has become the dominant revenue producer for the Ashtead Group, resulting in 2020 with the re-branding of their european business, A-Plant, as Sunbelt Rentals. As a result, the new european “Sunbelt” has 195 “for hire” locations in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
